parent- Simplista- by downscaling it to 8x and
supports all LabPBR features like POM, Reflections,
AO, Subsurface-Scattering and much more.
NORMAL MAPS
Normal maps are a special kind of texture
that provides data to shader to how to
handle and interect the light on the
surface. In Minecraft, you can store-
Parallax Occlusion Mapping (POM) which adds
height to the textures and Ambient Occlusion
(AO) which gives the texture extra details
in absence of a light source- in the normal
map.
SPECULAR MAPS
Specular maps contains smoothness, fresnal
(f0), HCM, subsurface scattering, porosity
and emissive data which can be used by the
shader to give the block it's smoothness,
reflectiveness and other unbelievable
effects.
